Yamaha EF1000iS — Starting the Engine

Operation

For the Yamaha EF1000iS, from the Yamaha owner's manual.

Procedure

1. Turn the economy control switch to OFF
2. Turn the air vent knob 1 turn counterclockwise to open the fuel tank air vent
3. Turn the fuel cock knob to ON
4. Turn the engine switch to ON
5. Pull the choke knob fully out
6. Pull slowly on the recoil starter until engaged, then pull briskly
7. Warm up the engine until it does not stop when choke knob returned
8. Push the choke knob back to original position
