Yamaha EF1000iS — Muffler Screen and Spark Arrester

Before you start
- Engine and muffler will be very hot after running
Procedure
- Remove the cover
- Remove the muffler screen
- Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the spark arrester out from the muffler
- Remove the spark arrester
- Remove carbon deposits with a wire brush
- Check the muffler screen and spark arrester, replace if damaged
- Install the spark arrester, aligning lump to hole in muffler pipe
- Install the muffler screen
- Install the cover
