Before you start
- Engine and muffler will be very hot
Procedure
- Remove screws and cover
- Loosen bolt and remove muffler screen
- Use flathead screwdriver to pry spark arrester out
- Remove spark arrester
- Remove carbon deposits with wire brush
- Check muffler screen and spark arrester, replace if damaged
- Install spark arrester aligning lump with hole
- Install muffler screen and tighten bolt
