Operation

For the Yamaha EF1000iS / EF2000iS, from the Yamaha owner's manual.

Before you start

  • Never operate the engine in a closed area.
  • The generator has been shipped without engine oil; do not start until filled with sufficient engine oil.

Procedure

  1. Turn the economy control switch (Black) to OFF
  2. While holding the fuel tank cap so it will not move, turn the air vent knob to ON
  3. Turn the fuel cock knob to ON
  4. Turn the engine switch (Red) to ON
  5. Pull the choke knob fully out (not required to start a warm engine)
  6. Pull slowly on the recoil starter until it is engaged, then pull it briskly
  7. After the engine starts, warm up the engine until it does not stop when the choke knob is returned to the original position
