For the Yamaha EF1000A, from the Yamaha owner's manual.
Before you start
- Be sure no foreign material enters the crankcase.
Procedure
- Place the machine on a level surface and warm up the engine for several minutes, then stop.
- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Place an oil pan under the engine and drain the oil completely.
- Check the oil filler cap and O-ring; replace if damaged.
- Add engine oil to the upper level.
