Before you start

  • Do not let a new clutch slip; this may ruin the friction surfaces.
  • A new clutch requires several adjustments until friction surfaces are worn in.

Procedure

  1. Pull adjusting lockpin out and insert 1/16 in. diameter wire to hold pin in outer position.
  2. Turn adjusting yoke clockwise, or wedge a screwdriver into the adjusting yoke against the inspection hole opening.
  3. Turn the take-off shaft counter-clockwise and tighten yoke enough so operating lever requires a distinct pressure to engage.
  4. Remove wire from lockpin and turn adjusting yoke slightly to allow lockpin to snap into hole in floating plate.
