Before you start
- It is possible to be off 180 degrees in mounting the gear with relation to the timing mark.
Procedure
- Remove magneto end cap cover.
- Turn distributor rotor until it is in firing position for No. 1 cylinder.
- Retain rotor in this position and fit drive gear to the impulse coupling lugs so the prick punch mark on front of gear is located as shown.
