Before you start
- Using starter more than 5 seconds can overheat and damage the starter motor
- Unit will not start if low on oil
Procedure
- Check oil level, refill as needed
- Turn on fuel supply (lever up/down = on, sideways = off)
- Turn engine switch to on position
- Rotate key switch briefly to START (max 5 seconds, wait 10 seconds between attempts)
- Release key switch to on position when started
- Warm up engine 2-3 minutes
