Before you start
- Negative ground system - connect negative terminal to ground
- Batteries emit explosive hydrogen gas while charging
Procedure
- Remove watches, rings, and other metal objects
- Use tools with insulated handles
- Check battery cable ends and posts are free of corrosion
- Connect positive cable first, then negative
- Ensure all connections are tight and coated with dielectric grease
