Procedure

1. Check oil level, refill as needed
2. Turn on the fuel supply by moving the fuel lever to ON
3. Move the choke rod to CLOSED position
4. Turn the engine switch to ON
5. Rotate the switch briefly to START; do not operate starter more than 5 seconds, wait 10 seconds between attempts
6. When the engine starts, release the engine switch
7. Gradually move choke to open as engine warms up
8. The engine should promptly come up to operating speed
