Before you start
- Never start or run engine with air filter removed
Procedure
- Loosen snaps and remove cover
- Remove the nut and the retainer
- Remove the air filter
- Remove the pre-cleaner from the air filter
- Tap air filter on hard surface to loosen debris or use pressurized air not to exceed 30 psi from inside to outside
- Wash the pre-cleaner in liquid detergent and water, air dry (do not oil)
- Install the foam pre-cleaner to the air filter
- Install the air filter and secure with retainer and nut
- Install and secure the cover
