Before you start
- These electric start engines are NEGATIVE GROUND
- Connecting positive terminal to ground will damage the engine's charging circuit
- Lead acid batteries produce explosive hydrogen gas when charging
Procedure
- Connect the positive battery cable to the bat+ terminal first
- Connect the negative battery cable to the bat- terminal
- Make sure all connections are clean and tight
- Reverse sequence when disconnecting: disconnect negative cable first
