Before you start
- Never use gasoline or flammable solvents to clean filter
- Never twist or tear foam element
Procedure
- Turn off generator and let cool
- Move generator to flat, level surface
- Unclip air filter cover clips and remove cover
- Remove black coarse outside air filter
- Remove gray fine inside air filter
- Wash foam elements in household detergent soap and warm water, squeezing gently
- Rinse in clean water with slow squeezing action
- Dry elements with slow firm squeezing
- Coat dry filters with clean engine oil
- Squeeze filters to remove excess oil
- Install fine inside filter first, then coarse outside filter
- Install air filter cover
