Procedure
- Remove the cap screws and disassemble the thermostat housing.
- Apply a thin coat of sealant on both sides of the new gasket.
- Press the gasket into place and install the new thermostat.
- Reassemble the housing; do not over-tighten the cap screws.
- Run the engine and check for normal temperature and no leaks.
