Procedure
- Remove the five screws securing the V-belt cover to the tensioning bracket.
- The V-belt can be adjusted by loosening the bolts on the tensioning bracket.
- When the V-belt is properly tensioned, it should deflect approximately 0.4-0.6 inches (5-10 mm) when 5 to 10 pounds of force are applied centrally between the clutch pulley and drive pulley.
- Reinstall the V-belt cover.
