Before you start

  • NEVER use gasoline or low flash point solvents to clean the engine or any of its components. The possibility exists of fire or explosion which can damage the equipment and cause severe bodily harm or even DEATH.

Procedure

  1. Press the latch tabs on top of the air cleaner cover and remove the cover and foam filter element.
  2. Clean the foam element in warm, soapy water or non-flammable solvent. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Dip the element in clean engine oil and completely squeeze out the excess oil from the element.
  4. Reinstall the foam element and air cleaner cover.
