Procedure

  1. 4.2 Mounting Location

  3. Step 1: Carefully uncrate the transfer switch. If damage is visible,
  4. Step 2: Open the door and visually verify that there are no broken

  7. 4.4 Mounting Procedure
  8. Step 1: Mounting and cabling access is best provided by remov-
  9. 9.3 for cover removal instructions.
  10. Step 2: Gently maneuver the switch into its location using all of
  11. Step 3: Bolt the enclosure to the base. Use separate cleats
  12. Step 4: Tighten bolts to 50 ft-lbs (68 Nm).
  13. Step 5: Double check to ensure that all packing and shipping .
  14. 4.5 Power Cable Connections
  15. Step 1: Verify that the line and load cables comply with applica-
  16. Step 2: Verify that the transfer switch rated current and voltage
  17. Step 3: After the transfer switch is mounted, provide the conduit
  18. Step 4: Test all power cables before connecting them to the unit
  19. Step 5: Carefully strip the insulation from the power cables.
  20. Step 6: Tighten the cable lugs to the torque identified on the label
