Procedure

  1. 1) Loosen the cylinder head bolts and remove them.
  2. 2) Pull the cylinder head up vertically to take it down. If the cylinder head gasket is attached
  3. on the removed cylinder head, remove it and place it back on engine block. Put the
  4. removed cylinder head on cardboard to prevent damage to the upper surface of the
  5. combustion chamber and other sealing surfaces. If more than one cylinder head needs to
  6. be disassembled, mark the cylinder number on the head for reference.
  7. 3) Remove the cylinder head gasket. If more than one cylinder head gasket needs to be
  8. disassembled, mark the cylinder number on the gaskets for reference.
  9. 4) Remove the intake and exhaust valve module. Refer to disassembly of valve mechanism
  10. (9.6) for details.
  11. 5) Remove the valve seal. Valve seals can’t be reused.
