Before you start

  • Use special tools to disassemble the camshaft bushing, pay attention to protect the other bushing during disassembly.
  • Before assembly, carefully check the inner surface of the camshaft bush for scratches, replace if necessary.
  • Clean the crankcase before assembly plane, the crankcase on the plane to be coated sealant.
  • Before assembly in the crankcase bearing surface and the main bearing bolt threaded parts brushing clean lubricant.

Procedure

  1. 1. Disassemble the internal thread cylinder pin.
  2. 2. Remove camshaft bushings.
  3. 3. Remove the main bearing bolts and crankcase bolts.
  4. 4. Remove the crankcase.
  5. Assembly steps:
  6. 1. Tighten main bearing bolts symmetrically in order shown in Figure 2-3.
  7. 2. First tighten by pneumatic wrench.
  8. 3. Next tighten to torque of 80Nm.
  9. 4. Then tighten to 140Nm.
  10. 5. After this tighten bolts in specified sequence by 90°.
  11. 6. Last tighten by 60° to finish assembly.

Tools required

  • Socket wrench
  • Copper hammer

Specs & torque values

  • Main bearing bolt torque: 80Nm (first step), 140Nm (second step), then 90° rotation, then 60°
  • Torque spec for main bearing bolts shown in Figure 2-3
