Procedure

1. 1. Loosen the right-hand 12mm tensioner lock bolt (1-3 turns is sufficient).
2. 2. Push tensioner assembly to the left to release timing belt tension (against spring pressure), then tighten the right-hand lock bolt to secure in the released position.
3. 3. Slide, with the help of a pick/awl, the timing belt forward off of the pulley/sprockets.
4. 4. Manipulate the timing belt off of the tensioner pulley, then the camshaft sprocket, then the crankshaft driving sprocket.
