Procedure
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove cable connections (1) and (2) from starter.
- Remove ground cable (4).
- Option A: remove fastening nut (3) and bolt (5).
- Option B: remove the two bolts and nuts through starter and transmission.
- Remove starter.
- Install: Option A torque fastening bolts to 35 ft/lbs; Option B torque to 58 ft/lbs.
- Connect ground cable to 106 in/lbs; install cables; attach negative battery cable.
