Before you start
- Use blue threadlocker on fan hardware.
Procedure
- Remove fan guards and fan from fan drive.
- Loosen fan belt tensioner; remove fan belt.
- Use 1/2 in drive ratchet on automatic tensioner to remove water pump belts.
- Install new belts, ensuring proper alignment in all pulley grooves.
- Tighten tensioner; check fan belt deflection 1/2-3/4 in with 30 lbs force.
- Reinstall fan with blue threadlocker; torque fan bolts to 140 lb/ft in star pattern.
- Reinstall fan guards.
