Before you start
- All NVH diagnostics must be done before installation of update kit
- Special tool MUST be used and torqued correctly for repair to hold
Procedure
- Remove accessory drive belt.
- Remove accessory drive pulley and 4 bolts (discard removed bolts).
- Install special tool press arbor into crankshaft fully, do not tighten.
- Install press plate, washer, bearing and nut.
- Tighten nut on arbor against press plate to 120 lb-ft.
- Loosen and remove nut; remove bearing, washer and arbor.
- Install accessory drive pulley and new retention plate with 4 new longer bolts; torque to 18 lb-ft.
- Install new 14MM retention plate bolt, torque to 135 lb ft; reinstall accessory drive belt.

- Press arbor, press plate, washer, bearing and nut special tools
