Before you start
- Belt dressing or anti-slipping agents are not recommended.
Procedure
- Loosen two lower generator mounting bolts.
- Loosen the upper generator adjusting bolt.
- Adjust the generator until the generator belt meets its required tension.
- Measure serpentine belt deflection by applying 98 Nm to the belt between the fan pulley and generator pulley.
- Tighten the upper generator adjusting bolt.
- Tighten two lower generator mounting bolts.
