Perkins — Water Pump - Remove and Install

Before you start
- Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Procedure
- Drain coolant.
- Disconnect hoses from water pump.
- Remove alternator bracket or adjusting bracket if equipped.
- Remove bolts and nut; remove water pump.
- Remove gasket.
- Clean gasket surfaces.
- Install new gasket and water pump.
- Apply Loctite 242 to first two threads of bolts and nut.
- Tighten bolts and nut first to 5 N·m, then to 10 N·m in sequence.
- Connect hoses and tighten clamps.
- Fill cooling system.
