Before you start
- Discard the used canister and fuel oil in a safe place and in accordance with local regulations
Procedure
- Clean outside surfaces of the fuel filter assembly; drain fuel if a drain tap is fitted
- Release the setscrew fitted through the filter head above the centre of the element
- Lower the bottom cover of the filter
- Remove and discard the element
- Clean inside surfaces of the filter head and cover
- Renew the seals and lightly lubricate them with clean fuel
- Fit the new element squarely to the filter head; tighten the setscrew
- Eliminate the air from the fuel filter
