Procedure
- Clean outside surfaces of the fuel filter assembly
- Loosen the drain device at the bottom of the filter and allow water/fuel to drain
- Use a strap wrench to loosen and remove the canister
- Ensure the threaded adaptor is secure in the filter head and the head is clean
- Lubricate lightly the top seals of the new canister with clean fuel; fit and tighten by hand only
- Eliminate the air from the fuel filter
