Before you start
- Connections should be blanked off until assembly.
Procedure
- Loosen the vent screw on the fuel filter.
- Operate the hand primer until fuel, free of air, flows from the vent screw. Tighten the vent screw.
- Loosen the vent screw on the fuel injection pump. Operate the hand primer until fuel, free of air, flows. Tighten the vent screw.
- Attempt to start the engine using the starter motor for a maximum of 15 seconds, wait for 30 seconds before trying again.
Specs & values
- Do not exceed continuous starter motor rotation of more than 15 seconds.
