Before you start

  • Do not apply an air pressure of more than 205 kPa (30 lbf/in2) 2,1 kgf/cm2 to the actuator

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the boost sensor pipe at the actuator; connect an adjustable air supply with an accurate gauge
  2. Fasten a dial test indicator with plunger on the end of the actuator rod
  3. Slowly apply air pressure; check pressure necessary to move the rod 1,00 mm is within limits
  4. If incorrect, release the lock nut on the actuator arm; remove the clip and rod from the pin
  5. Rotate the end of the actuator rod in half-turn increments to change rod length
  6. Refit the rod, clip and lock nut; release the air pressure
  7. Re-check the pressure to move the rod 1,00 mm
