Procedure
- If necessary, install studs to fuel filter bracket and tighten to 18 N·m
- Position fuel filter bracket onto the valve mechanism cover
- Install bolts to fuel filter bracket and tighten to 25 N·m
- Ensure fuel filter base is clean and free from damage
- Position fuel filter base on the mounting bracket
- Install nuts and tighten to 25 N·m
- If necessary, install a new fuel filter to canister
- Install cannister to fuel filter base
- Remove plugs from plastic tube assemblies and remove caps from ports
- Connect plastic tube assemblies to the fuel filter base
- Connect harness assembly to fuel temperature sensor
- Turn the fuel supply to the ON position
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position
- Remove the air from the fuel system
Specs & torque values
- Stud torque: 18 N·m (159 lb in)
- Bolt torque: 25 N·m (221 lb in)
- Nut torque: 25 N·m (221 lb in)
