Procedure

  1. If necessary, install studs to fuel filter bracket and tighten to 18 N·m
  2. Position fuel filter bracket onto the valve mechanism cover
  3. Install bolts to fuel filter bracket and tighten to 25 N·m
  4. Ensure fuel filter base is clean and free from damage
  5. Position fuel filter base on the mounting bracket
  6. Install nuts and tighten to 25 N·m
  7. If necessary, install a new fuel filter to canister
  8. Install cannister to fuel filter base
  9. Remove plugs from plastic tube assemblies and remove caps from ports
  10. Connect plastic tube assemblies to the fuel filter base
  11. Connect harness assembly to fuel temperature sensor
  12. Turn the fuel supply to the ON position
  13. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position
  14. Remove the air from the fuel system

Specs & torque values

  • Stud torque: 18 N·m (159 lb in)
  • Bolt torque: 25 N·m (221 lb in)
  • Nut torque: 25 N·m (221 lb in)
