Before you start

  • Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during disassembly
  • Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers

Procedure

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position
  2. Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position
  3. Drain the secondary filter
  4. Make temporary identification marks on plastic tube assemblies to show correct position
  5. Place a suitable container below the fuel filter base to catch any fuel
  6. Disconnect plastic tube assemblies from fuel filter base
  7. Use Tooling (A) to plug plastic tube assemblies
  8. Use Tooling (A) to cap the connection on fuel filter base
  9. Slide locking tab into the unlock position
  10. Disconnect harness assembly from fuel temperature sensor
  11. Remove cannister from fuel filter base
  12. Remove secondary filter

  • Tooling (A) - Capping Kit
