Procedure
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position
- Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position
- Make temporary identification marks on plastic tube assemblies
- Place a suitable container below the fuel filter base
- Disconnect plastic tube assembly from connecting (1)
- Use Tooling (A) to plug the plastic tube assemblies
- Use Tooling (A) to cap connection (1)
- Disconnect plastic tube assembly from connecting (2)
- Use Tooling (A) to cap connection (2)
- Disconnect OEM harness assembly from water in fuel sensor
- Remove bolts and remove the assembly of primary fuel filter from mounting bracket
- If necessary, remove vent screw assembly and O-ring seal
- Remove connections and O-ring seals
- Remove plugs and O-ring seals
- Remove water in fuel sensor and O-ring seal
- Remove the filter element from fuel filter canister
