Before you start
- When twin elements are fitted, both must be renewed at the same time.
Procedure
- Clean the outside surfaces of the fuel filter assembly; drain the fuel if a drain tap is fitted.
- Hold the bottom cover of the element and release the setscrew through the filter head.
- Lower the bottom cover and remove and discard the element.
- Clean the inside surfaces of the top and bottom filter covers and fit new sealing rings.
- Put the bottom cover on the bottom of the new element and assemble squarely to the filter head.
- Hold the assembly and engage and tighten the setscrew.
- Eliminate all air from the fuel system.
