Perkins — Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install

Before you start
- Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Procedure
- Remove drain plug and drain engine oil.
- Remove sealing washers.
- Remove bolts and oil pan.
- Remove joint or gasket.
- Clean mating surfaces.
- Install new joint or gasket and oil pan.
- Install bolts hand tight.
- Tighten Type 1 bolts to 10 N·m.
- Tighten Type 2 and Type 3 bolts to 12.5 N·m.
- Install drain plug and tighten to 34 N·m.
- Fill engine oil pan to correct level.
Specs & values
- Oil pan bolts Type 1: 10 N·m
- Oil pan bolts Type 2/3: 12.5 N·m
- Drain plug: 34 N·m
