Before you start
- Make sure the breather assembly components are installed correctly; engine damage may occur.
Procedure
- Loosen the screws and remove the breather cover from the valve mechanism cover.
- Remove the spring; remove the diaphragm and plate.
- For turbocharged engines, remove the spacer and the joint.
- Clean the vent hole and the cavity in the valve mechanism cover.
- For turbocharged engines, install a new joint and the spacer.
- Install a new diaphragm and plate into the cavity (or spacer).
- Install a new spring.
- Install the breather cover and the four screws; tighten the screws.
