Procedure

  1. 2. Remove the setscrews (2) from the cover (1).
  2. 3. Remove the cover (1).

  6. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened
  7. component life.
  8. Note: The installation procedure is identical for the
  9. four cylinder and the three cylinder engines. The

  13. Typical example
  14. 1. Thoroughly clean all of the inner surfaces of the
  15. cover (1) for the fuel injectors.
  16. 2. Install the cover (1).
  17. 3. Install the setscrews (2) for the cover (1). Tighten
  18. the setscrews (2) to a torque of 9 N·m (7 lb ft).

  20. Fuel Injection Pump - Remove

Tools required

  • 7. Use a suitable puller in order to remove the fuel
