Before you start
- Ensure the injector sleeve and cylinder head bore are completely free of oil, dirt, and sealant debris.
Procedure
- Use Tooling (B) to clean the bore in the cylinder head for the injector sleeve.
- Install new O-ring seals (2) and (3) to sleeve (1).
- Install sleeve (1) to Tooling (A).
- Apply a small continuous bead of Tooling (C) Retaining Compound to surface (X) of sleeve (1).
- Lubricate O-ring seals (2) with clean engine oil.
- Position sleeve (1) and Tooling (A) in the cylinder head; use care not to damage O-ring seals (2) and (3).
- Use Tooling (A) and a soft faced hammer to install sleeve (1) to the cylinder head.
- Install the electronic unit injectors.
- Fill the cooling system with coolant.
