Before you start
- Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Procedure
- Remove V-belt.
- Turn battery disconnect switch OFF.
- Disconnect harness assembly from alternator.
- Remove mounting bolts and alternator from bracket.
- Remove adjusting link if needed.
- Install adjusting link and alternator.
- Install V-belt and adjust tension.
- Tighten fasteners to specified torque.
- Connect harness assembly.
- Turn battery disconnect switch ON.
Specs & values
- Alternator mounting bolts: 10 N·m, 22 N·m, or 25 N·m depending on model
