Before you start
- Contain and dispose of all fluids according to local regulations.
Procedure
- For electric priming pump, turn keyswitch ON for 2 minutes, then OFF, then ON again.
- For mechanical priming, ensure air removed from primary filter before priming.
- Loosen vent screws on primary filter until fuel free from air flows, then close.
- Open vent screw on fuel filter and operate priming pump; do not operate starting motor more than 15 seconds, wait 30 seconds before re-operating.
- When fuel free from air flows, tighten vent screw to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
