Perkins 403F-11 — Fuel Filter Base - Remove and Install

Before you start

  • Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system.
  • Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Procedure

  1. Turn fuel supply to OFF position.
  2. Loosen hose clamps and disconnect hoses.
  3. Remove fuel filter element if necessary.
  4. Remove bolt and remove fuel filter base from mounting bracket.
  5. Align fuel filter base with mounting bracket and install bolt.
  6. Tighten bolt to 25 N·m.
  7. Install new fuel filter element if necessary.
  8. Connect hoses and tighten hose clamps.
  9. Turn fuel supply to ON position.
  10. Remove air from fuel system.

  • 25 N·m (221 lb in) fuel filter base bolt
