Perkins 1506 — Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace

Before you start
- Do not fill the secondary fuel filter with fuel before installing.
Procedure
- Relieve residual fuel pressure; after the engine has stopped wait 1 to 5 minutes until pressure has lowered.
- Turn the fuel supply valve OFF; place a container under the filter assembly and clean the outside.
- Using a suitable tool, remove the secondary fuel filter (3) from housing (1); discard.
- Lubricate O ring seal (2) with clean diesel fuel and install new secondary fuel filter (3) to housing (1).
- Spin on new filter; when the O ring seal contacts the sealing surface rotate ¾ of a full turn.
- Turn the fuel line valves ON and prime the fuel system.
