Operation

Before you start
- Do not start the engine under load.
Procedure
- Disengage any equipment that is driven by the engine.
- Turn the keyswitch to the RUN position and wait until the glow plug warning light is extinguished.
- Turn the keyswitch to the START position to engage the starting motor and crank the engine.
- Allow the keyswitch to return to the RUN position after the engine starts.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 if the engine fails to start.

- If the engine fails to start within 30 seconds, release the starter and wait two minutes before retrying
