Perkins 1106 — Replacing the ECM

Before you start
- If the flash file and engine application are not matched, engine damage may result.
Procedure
- Connect the electronic service tool to the diagnostic connector.
- Use the Copy Configuration ECM Replacement function.
- Record all parameters and injector serial numbers if copy configuration fails.
- Remove power from the ECM.
- Remove the ECM.
- Install the replacement ECM.
- Select Test ECM Mode if the ECM is to be a test ECM.
- Download the flash file using WinFlash.
- Clear the rating interlock if necessary.
- Program the parameters to match the suspect ECM.
- Perform the Fuel System Verification Test.
- Check for logged diagnostic codes.
