- Ensure tube assemblies connect to correct ports to prevent contamination

Procedure
- Isolate the fuel supply.
- Mark plastic tube assemblies (2), (4) and (5).
- Place container below fuel filter base.
- Disconnect tube assemblies; plug and cap ports.
- Remove fuel filter.
- Remove bolts and remove fuel filter base from bracket. Do not disassemble base.
- On installation, position base and install bolts; tighten to 44 N·m.
- Remove plugs/caps and connect tube assemblies in original positions.
- Install new fuel filter if necessary.
- Restore the fuel supply and prime the fuel system.
