Perkins 1103 / 1104 — Water Temperature Regulator - Test

Procedure

1. Remove the water temperature regulator housing from the engine.
2. Heat water in a pan to the fully open temperature of the regulator and stir to distribute temperature.
3. Hang the housing in the pan below the water surface, away from pan sides and bottom.
4. Keep the water at the correct temperature for ten minutes.
5. Remove the housing and immediately measure the opening of the regulator; replace if less than listed.
