Installation

For the Perkins 1103 / 1104, from the Perkins service manual.

Procedure

1. Clean mating surfaces of exhaust manifold and turbocharger.
2. Install new gasket over studs on exhaust manifold.
3. Position turbocharger onto exhaust manifold; install nuts.
4. Tighten nuts to 47 N·m.
5. Install new joint and oil drain tube with setscrews.
6. Tighten 6 mm setscrews to 9 N·m, 8 mm setscrews to 22 N·m.
7. Install oil supply tube and banjo bolt; tighten to 22 N·m.
8. Install exhaust adapter; tighten nuts in sequence to 25 N·m.
