Perkins 1103 / 1104 — Pistons and Connecting Rods - Install
Installation
For the Perkins 1103 / 1104, from the Perkins service manual.

Procedure
- Clean components; lubricate piston and cylinder bore with engine oil.
- Rotate crankshaft until connecting rod journal is at bottom center.
- Lubricate bearing shells for connecting rod with clean engine oil.
- Install piston sleeve tool; push piston and rod into cylinder.
- Install cap with bearing shell and new torx screws.
- Tighten new torx screws to 20 N·m.
- Tighten torx screws to 70 N·m, then rotate additional 120 degrees.
