Perkins 1103 / 1104 — Crankshaft Rear Seal - Install
Installation

Procedure
- Ensure crankshaft flange clean, dry, free from rough edges.
- Remove packaging; ensure plastic sleeve squarely installed.
- Place seal assembly over flange; engage plastic sleeve.
- Push seal evenly onto flange until against cylinder block.
- Rotate seal to align setscrew holes; loosely secure with ten setscrews.
- Install alignment tool onto crankshaft flange.
- Tighten setscrews 1-7 and 10 to 22 N·m.
- Remove alignment tool; tighten setscrews 8 and 9 to 22 N·m.
