Before you start
- Battery gas can explode; keep flames and sparks away from batteries.
Procedure
- Check battery electrolyte level; add distilled water if necessary.
- Ensure booster and main batteries have the same voltage rating.
- Connect positive terminal of booster battery to positive terminal of main battery.
- Connect negative terminal of booster battery to ground on engine block.
- Remove booster battery after starting engine.
