Before you start
- Holding preheat too long can burn out heater elements.
- Do not crank starter more than 20 seconds consecutively.
Procedure
- Hold Shutdown Bypass-Preheat switch ON 10 to 20 seconds for cold engine.
- While holding preheat, push Engine Control switch to START.
- Release both switches as soon as engine starts. Do not crank more than 20 seconds consecutively.
